When buyers asked AI assistants for compliance automation recommendations, Vanta appeared in virtually every response while Secureframe was rarely mentioned. Rather than trying to compete head-to-head with Vanta on generic compliance queries — where Vanta's first-mover advantage was deeply entrenched — the team identified a specific buyer segment where Secureframe had a genuine, defensible advantage: mid-market SaaS companies (50–500 employees) pursuing multiple frameworks simultaneously.

The content programme produced 11 highly specific assets targeting this segment: a 'Multi-Framework Compliance Playbook,' a 'Mid-Market SaaS Compliance Benchmark Report,' and a series of 'Compliance Readiness Guides' for specific verticals (HealthTech, FinTech, EdTech). Each asset was structured to be highly citable by AI models and distributed across the authoritative sources AI assistants draw from.

Four months into the programme, Secureframe's AI search presence had transformed. The company appeared in 71% of tracked compliance queries (up from 14%), and in the mid-market SaaS segment specifically, Secureframe was the most-recommended vendor in 34 of 52 queries — surpassing Vanta in this segment for the first time.
